01 Who we are
Hi, we are James and Jack. We would like to scan your place in 3D, for free.
We're two students from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. This semester we're following a minor called entrepreneurship, and we're testing out an idea with one mission: a new way of exploring spaces, without having to stand in them.
It's called 3D Gaussian splatting. We take a lot of photos of a place, and out comes a 3D model you can walk through right in your browser. No app, no headset, just a link.
Now we need real places to try it on, and we thought we'd ask you.
02 What we ask
2 to 3 hours max at your place.
One day with decent weather, ideally between guests. That is the whole ask. We do not install anything and we do not move your furniture. You do not have to be there the whole time either.

Completely free!
We're asking because we want to get better at this. We've only been doing it a short while, and you can't really learn it in a classroom. You need actual houses, with furniture and odd corners and windows in the wrong place.
So we cover everything ourselves: getting there, the equipment, the editing, and keeping it online afterwards. No invoice, nothing to sign up for. You get a 3D model of your place, we get the practice.
